Low-income housing

Given its constant interest in improving processes and optimizing the existing resources, DANE implemented a research project on low-income and non low-income housing in July of 2001, on the basis of the  Building Census implemented in December of 1996 as a fundamental requirement for the calculation of the Construction GDP, buildings subsector. The longitudinal panel statistical technique was used to carry out a detailed follow-up of the universe studied, over time. Its objective was to establish the behavior and evolution of Low-income Housing (VIS, according to its acronym in Spanish), by following up on such variables as square meters, units, and sales price per square meter.
