The Departmental Gross Domestic Product is an indicator that measures the productive activity of resident institutional units in a region. It make sit possible to establish economic behavior, its evolution and structure in each one of the country’s departments. Departmental National Accounts, known as centralized accounts, are built in coherence with the national aggregates. They assign, regionally, the national total and sector GDP using the most appropriate statistical methods associated with the productive activities of the departments. Departmental Accounts are a simplifying tool, since the idea is not to replicate the totality of the complex national accounts system, but rather to address those aspects linked to the analysis of production and the generation of added value by sector at current and constant prices. |
