The Statistical Business Register contains information on the identification and location of all active companies in the national territory with their establishments. The information is updated continuously through administrative records of public and private entities, DANE’s research and other channels (Web, phone, email, enlistment in the field, etc.) For this reason, this register play fundamental strategic role for decision-making in all areas of society and monitoring of public policies. The data supplied to the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) are strictly confidential and they cannot be used for tax or legal purposes. For its surveys, the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) periodically requires cooperation from the companies in the country. By asking companies to provide fundamental information to update the database of the Statistical Business Register of Colombia, DANE can conduct annual studies and research.
Form: Educational Units Update
The National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) is implementing a series of actions to improve research applied to education. As a result, as of 2014 all educational institutions are required to report data through an electronic form available on DANE’s web page.
To this end, it is necessary to update and confirm the identification data and location of the educational establishment and other information related to education services offered by the institution.
