Ethnic Groups

The statistical project for ethnic groups is part of DANE’s policies to produce, analyze and disseminate strategic information in order to enhance visibility and statistically characterize these populations. To achieve this goal, various strategies to analyze and disseminate 2005 General Census 2005 information have been created. Some of the strategies include publishing papers, performing post census ethnic studies, organizing workshops and offering courses aimed at ethnic communities, as well as providing a census information consultation system for ethnic groups that includes population projections for indigenous groups in reserves, which are legally constituted by DANE and DNP annually. |
