Urban Passenger Transportation Survey

The national administrative department of statistics -dane- has been carrying out the urban passenger transportation survey since 1965, in order to obtain statistical information regarding the urban public transportation of passengers.

it is currently carried out in 23 capital cities , and analyzes the municipal public transportation service provided within the urban perimeter, excluding taxi service. in the case of the medellín metro, although the survey form is not used, results are presented on the basis of monthly reports submitted by the source. information per type of vehicle and service level is collected and consolidated every month, including aspects such as fleet, number of trips, kilometers covered, passengers transported, and prevailing daily fare.
